Introduction

These are secondary market coins, which are subject to VAT margin scheme taxation!

All new silver investment products are subject to full VAT taxation. Secondary market coins, however, are taxed under a special margin scheme whereby VAT is calculated only on the difference between the resale price and the purchase price of the product. In simplified terms, only the margin is taxed under this taxation scheme, rather than the full value of the product. Therefore, secondary market coins provide a tax-efficient way for both private individuals and non-VAT-registered legal entities to invest in physical silver.

The application of the VAT margin scheme requires that the coins have previously been owned by a private investor/collector or by a non-VAT-registered legal entity, and that the coin has subsequently been sold back to the merchant by such a party. Since VAT has already been paid upon the initial purchase, the special VAT scheme is applied when the coin is resold for the second time.

Please note: All secondary market coins offered by us undergo a thorough authenticity and quality inspection before being made available for resale.

Secondary market silver coins are an excellent way to diversify your investment portfolio in a tax-efficient manner.

Please also note that the product selection might consist of coins from various mint years. The coins currently in stock may differ from those shown in the images. If you would like more detailed information about the available coins, please contact us directly.

Austrian Philharmonic Silver Coin

The worldwide success of the 1 oz Austrian Philharmonic Gold Coin inspired the Austrian Mint to create its silver counterpart, which shortly after its initial issuance in 2008 has been steadily gaining interest among precious metals investors. Today, the 1 oz Austrian Philharmonic Silver Coin is a worldwide phenomenon among silver investment products and the coin's recognition ensures its high liquidity.

Austrian Philharmonic's fame is inextricably linked to the fact that it is the first ever bullion coin whose face value is expressed in euros, and not – as is the case with the other most popular silver bullion coins – in US dollars. Its value is 1.50 euro, which makes it a widely accepted medium of exchange in Austria. With the current price of an ounce of pure silver, it would not be a good idea to make payments with the Vienna Philharmonic Silver Coins, but this is an additional advantage, especially important in uncertain economic times.

What else makes the Vienna Philharmonic Silver Coin stand out?

There is no doubt that the 1 oz Vienna Philharmonic Silver Coin combines all the qualities that should distinguish physical investment silver. Aside from the purity aspect – the coin was made from 999 silver – the price of the 1 oz Vienna Philharmonic Silver Coin keeps pace with the market price of silver.

It is safe to say that the 1 oz Silver Philharmonic is an unquestionable "must have" in the portfolios of investors sensitive to beauty. Attention given to every detail at all stages of production, combined with the unique motive of the world-famous Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, makes the coin a true rarity in the silver part of one's investment portfolio.
